Solids!

Well, I can't say this is the first attempt at letting them try solid foods, but its pretty close. Savannah did better than I thought she would do. She was tasting the baby cereal and didn't seem to mind it all that much.



Savannah made a mess, but not as much as her sister did. Saigey, Saigey, Saigey....my-oh-my! She is a funny little girl. We had a big mess! However, I do realize it is only going to get worse, but for a 5 month old, she made a mess...well, just on her bib and mouth. I don't think anything stayed in and definitely nothing was swallowed. It all came back out with a simple little thing called her tongue! She thought that was funny!

Savy Under the Weather!

So, Savannah isn't feeling very well. She has been running a fever the last couple of days and just feels like a fireball when you hold her. We went to the doctor yesterday and she has been diagnosed as sick. She has a very sore throat and is very miserable. Despite how Vannah Banna is feeling, she still manages to smile and talk. She is such a good sport. Lately she just wants to be in her swing or held.
I never was able to realize that by having kids could be so mentally draining, because I just constantly think about how I am going to keep these girls safe and healthy, not to mention how I can protect them more. It breaks my heart to see them miserable when I can't do anything about it.

Seriously Camping: Annual Jackson Hole 4th of July

Every year for the last 20 years, my family has been making new adventures to Jackson Hole, to run the Snake River (Mad River). This year as great as any other. The river was running high, so Lunch Counter gave us a good ride! Make sure to never get this name confused, calling it Table Top or Lunch Table....you will never live it down!


The girls are amazing little campers! These little troopers are so well behaved and are beginning to love the outdoors as much as me and Bryce do!





Dad, Saige, Savannah, and I left for Jackson earlier than all the rest of our party, so we had some time to kill. We went to Teton National Park and Jenny Lake. I have seen these mountains many times and every trip brings me a new sensational feeling because of their beauty. The Tetons are so strikingly beautiful and there were so many cascading waterfalls, it was amazing!



These are the people who we were camping with. Blake, Kristin, Craig, Kari, Alli, Bryson, Sydney, and Lauren. We went to Bubba's BBQ on Friday the 4th. After dinner, we always walk around town, get ice cream, I always have to get me a hoodie, and then we finish the night with spectacular fireworks. The girls did remarkably well during their first fireworks. Savannah fell asleep right when they started and Saige wanted to watch them for a while before she fell asleep right in the middle of them. I cannot stress enough of how good my girls are!


Of course, the boys had to have their fix on fishing. They went fly fishing below the Palasade Dam while Kristin, Saige, Savannah, Gizzy, Sami, and I waited for them at the take-out. Their only complaint: sweat!

Saige taking a bath later that same night. Its amazing how dirty babies can get while camping, even though they get carried around.

I finally was able to get Savannah to giggle and got it on video! I have found that both girls are very ticklish!

One morning, I was playing with Saige and found that she thought it was hilarious when making silly sounds!

Our Baby Einsteins!

Saige and Savannah are becoming "Little Einsteins." They just love to sit in their Boppies and watch Baby Einstein. They get so excited with all the cool colors and shapes. So far, we have had the best response from the Baby Santa disc. I guess it is never too early to get excited for Santa! We have to be careful to only allow them one movie every couple of days so that they don't get reliant upon the TV.

Papa and Girls

The girls love their Papa. When we went to Moab, I was able to snap some pictures of Papa and the girls. In the picture with both girls, Papa is actually working....YES, actually working, but it doesn't look like it. He just got off the phone with someone from work and had to write things down, so the girls were at the "office" with him! Then, I caught Saige and Papa reading the Moab Happenings together! Sooooo Cute!

Baby Sports Illustrated: Pool Edition

I took the girls to Moab and we went swimming with Papa. The first day, they did okay. They were a little unsure of what was happening, but upon entering the water, Saige was great. Then she got tired real quick. When I was getting Savannah into the water, she had a little complaint here and there, but for the most part, she did the best out of both of them. She even floated on her back a little bit with Papa and kicked her legs. It was cute! The pictures are of the second day (6/20/08) when we put them into their little blow-up float thingys. They really enjoyed those!

How our life changed!

Lake Tahoe

Bryce and I took the girls to Lake Tahoe to pick up our new camper on the way to Paradise, CA. It was a long drive with the girls, but it was fun and worth it. There are a couple of pictures of Saige and Savannah where they are very exhausted from being strapped in their car seat for so long. When we got to Lake Tahoe, we took a cruise on the Bleu Wave and went to Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. It was very pretty. This lake's deepest depth is 1600 feet and it is crystal clear. Basically, you can see about 60 ft. down. Anyway, the cliffs and mountains are all granite with huge Tamarack Pines, which makes beautiful scenery. Emerald bay has the Vikingsholm Castle, Fannette Island, and a beautiful waterfall in the background. After spending two nights in Lake Tahoe at the Tamarack Lodge, we then proceeded to Paradise, CA to pick up the camper. It was about a 3 hour drive through the Sierra Nevadas. That was a very pretty drive with huge granite boulders in the river beds with gushing water. We slept our final night in the camper at the RV shop because they wanted to make sure the camper fit just right and in order to take the camper out of the state, we had to be escorted to the Nevada border the next day. But, we had to be back into SLC Tuesday night for Bryce to get back to class at 6 PM, so we left CA at 6 AM and Bryce was able to make it to class at 8:10 PM. He was a little late, but better late than never! :)
