Misc. Hunting Trip: Book Cliffs

This is it! This is the place! Ugggh. It was dusty, dry, and really NOTHING to do! But, we made the most of it (us 4 girls) and we got out to support our HUNTER! This is what it looks like driving to the Book Cliffs. 60 miles of a dirt road.

Reagan's confinement pen! Ok, not really--we are getting ready to go to bed!

Bryce caught a baby horny toad. The girls we very intrigued!

The BIG HUNTER showing off his skills using his bow at 100 yards! He is so HOT!

Saige, not sure what to do with herself. Daddy ditched us to look for an elk. Note: she is facing towards the weeds.

Mommy decided to come keep them company, but then I had to take a picture.

I thought this was cute Daddy teaching Saige how to use the spotting scope! Two of a kind, oh lets not forget Sami--Three of a kind!

The girls testing out their wheels. They didn't work so well, being a 1-wheel drive 4 wheeler!

Now we're talk'n! This is what they were born for! "Ditch the crap, go for the BIG machines!"

Bryce, Scott, and Mike getting ready to head out in the evening to find a bull.

Ok, that about sums it up. Look for previous posts for Bryce's bull!

Ogden Half Marathon!

Ok, here I go! I signed up for the Ogden Half Marathon in May. I have been running here and there and the furthest I have worked myself up to is about 4 solid miles of running. I started slack'n a little bit, but decided to push myself a little harder! So, here is to 13 miles of sweat, motivation, and fun! Wish me luck, training has begun!

My Little Walker

Yes, yes, she is cruis'n! Saige and Savannah are really getting close to getting a taste of their own medicine! Reagan is definitely loving her mobility! At first, she was getting so frustrated because she would walk a few steps and fall, get mad, hit the floor, but then try again! That-a-GIRL, never give up! Luv ya little Ray-Ray!

Elk Hunt 2010: Book Cliffs

Bryce was lucky and WON a trophy elk archery hunt in the Book Cliffs just south of Roosevelt, UT and northeast of Price. He stayed for about 10 days and became an official MOUNTAIN MAN! It was a long 10 days, but we made it! Bryce said he had to be the oldest and biggest bull he has ever seen. He even took the ivories to the taxidermist and he said that is the oldest he has ever seen and guessing to be about 13-14 years old. Well, Bryce had a good and tough time getting him and supposedly it is quite the task to get anything with a bow and arrow! According to the information about the Book Cliffs hunt, you have a 50% chance of getting an elk on a limited entry hunt! Hmmm...he didn't fair to badly!

Holden

Here he is, little Holden has finally arrived! Bryce's sister, Jenny had him on Grandma Debbie's birthday, September 2! He was initially "supposed" to come on the 1st, but lucky for Grandma, he had other plans! Anyway, he is just adorable and looks just like his daddy!

Weber STATE...GREAT, GReat, great!!!!!

These pictures don't actually do it justice! No kidding, its really WEBER STATE PURPLE! It was supposed to be MAROON...so I was thinking a red base with a "hint" of purple! This one's for you DAN!

Neglected Boy

I thought I would make a post about one of my furry friends, Gizzy.
Truly, he is neglected...but I still love him to death even though he has been getting in quite a bit of trouble lately! Poor guy, seems like he can't do anything right. Unfortunately, because I have failed miserably at giving him the attention he needs, he has been acting out by peeing and pooping in my house! This started about a year ago after another dog had marked his territory, but has progressively gotten worse. We have been in our house for a little over 3 years now, and he was accident free for the first two years! I still love you GIZ, but if we are going to make this work, there has to be changes...uggh, I know it has to start with me!

Markers and Paper????

Uggh. UGGGGHHHHH! I am having the hardest time keeping up with my toddlers! THEY ARE IN TO EVERYTHING! I was sorting out baby blankets, in Reagans room for not 5 minutes and this is what I came back too! I know, I know it could be worse....but with the 50 messes I had already cleaned up that morning...its past the point of worse! Needless to say, it was kinda funny...which made it better! Sanna got into the markers and SHARED (big thing for Sanna) with Reagan! Ok, not just shared, WROTE on Reagan as if she were paper! Then I walked in to find Reagan sucking on the blue marker. Hmm, not sure for how long...but the next day her poop was blue, if that says anything. Luckily, she turned out fine and it wasn't permanent. But the funny thing was is that we were supposed to be leaving for the NICU reunion in about 20 minutes after this. I can only imagine what other people were thinking...oh well!

Sweet Little Reagan

Ran into some little snap shots of Reagan I had almost forgotten about, and just had to share! She is getting so big and just grow'n so fast! She is almost walking. She can walk barely assisted but wuss's out when you let go. Thats ok, I don't have a problem holding on to my baby a little longer! No pun intended.

Here she is, trying to figure the whole four-wheeler thing out.
Ok, that didn't last long, she gave up once she saw I had the camera!
MMMM, banana's! She chowed down on this thing like no other! She ended up getting mad at me when I took it away from her as I discovered she was devouring the peel!

Ahh, doesn't dare! She is so funny and she actually gets sad when I tell her no! This is another thing I will hold on to because I know this wont last long either! She just sits at the top of the stairs...she is really wanting to go down sooooooo bad because her sisters just disappeared and now she is stuck at the top! Feel'n like a third wheel I guess, but that is why Mommy is here!

Family Fun at the Cabin

Bryce's sister, Michele, was fortunate enough to get a cabin for our entire family for the weekend from her assistant principal. It was nice to get a way and fun to spend time with the family. It's located just north of Oakley in Smith and Moorehouse.
We went on a little nature walk...can't call it a hike because my kids don't last that long.
Reagan and Savannah
The cabin we stayed in.
Bryce, being a kid...need I say more!
Reagan playing Hoover!
Uncle J and Jaxon
Tim and Emily, stuffing their faces...ok, Tim was ready to beat me! LOL
Prego Jenny at 37 weeks...yay...she will be enduced on September 1st! Can't hardly stand the wait to meet the little guy! I think she was ready to beat me too!
Princess Connor. I was in the middle of doing Saige and Savannah's hair and Connor kept coming over, totally enthralled in what was happening, so....it was just an opportune moment and I couldn't resist! His dad, Eric, hmmm...just grinned and sucked it up!
Last day at the cabin, relaxing on the huge deck.
Uncle J and Reagan...she loves him so and he loves her. Not sure who loves who more!
Cute little Reagan...playing on the chair! This little cutie...awe, what more can I say!
Saige, reading...uh - oh...take a look at the title!
Saige and Savannah swinging...practically had to pry them off the dumb thing!
Panka reading.
Jenny (red) any day (boy) and Emily (Blue) due in November (girl).
Ok, were done for this post.
