Tumbling Head Over Heals

Clinton City partnered with some of the local businesses and they had a tumbling class for the month of June and July. So, I couldn't resist signing little S & S up to participate. They have set up several obstacle courses for the little tykes and S & S love it! Its hard to keep up with them. Here are their favorites...

Cuz'n and WSU Fireworks

My awesome cousin got married about 2 weeks ago to Sarah, whom I just love! She is the cutest little thing ever and will talk your ear off! But I thats what you can't get enough of! Anyway, they were here for 2 days last weekend to visit my Grandpa who has been given about a month left to live. Well, they are just amazing and it shows that they really care to drive all the way from California to see him one last time! Thanks Scott and Sarah, it meant the world to him!
Ok, well we had them over for dinner on Sunday and they got to play with Saige, Savannah, and Reagan, whom they met for the first time! They all had a blast!

After some playtime, we all headed to the WSU fireworks. And it was Reagans first time! Also, this marks the 3rd anniversary of when Bryce and I found out we were pregnant as a result of IVF...but didn't know we were going to have twins. The doctor thought we would, based on the my HcG levels, but we were only 10 days along at that point! Cool!

GOT MILK?

Actually, Reagan was enjoying a slice of Bryce's cake! Couldn't resist taking a picture of this cute little thing, sport'n around her whip cream mustache!

Did Someone Say BROWNE?

Yes, I am a sucker for the brown fudgy ones that make ME pudgy! However, that kind of BROWNIE is not what I am referring to. Over the 4th, our Fab 5 and all of Bryce's siblings (except one) and parents went to Browne Lake in the Uintahs. It is a long time favorite of their family. The girls were "outragously elated" because they got to ride the "four-weewas!" However, I was very happy to FINALLY be camping.

Me and my girls on our "new" ride!

S & S, can't remember what they are looking back for...Maybe Grandma?

Savannah, being stubborn!

Ahhh, my favorite 2 pics of the trip! Enjoy!

That is Bryce out there on the H2O!

Miss Saige'S MESSes!

This is just one of the MANY messes I have had to clean up. Off the top of my head, there has been laundry detergent on the carpet, (expensive) hair product on the carpet, lotion smeared all over tile, saw dust rubbed into carpet, ummm, I am sure I am forgetting something. Anyway, there are numerous jobs for me to do while in charge of two two year olds! TROUBLE, TROUBLE, TROUBLE! Some days, YES, I feel like pulling my hair out! BUT I still love em!

THIS mess was Saige's mess! As I recall, there was a story told by my mom, of me doing this similar thing. HMM, SORRY MOM! Luckily, it wasn't all that bad, but it gets a little tiring when there are several of these "clean-ups" a day!"

I was outside and this is what I found...

Feet prints leading to and fro the DISaster ZONE!

I think I may have startled her a little...

What she did when I said, "aaaaa-ooooh!"

Her response when I asked, "what did you do?"

Summer Time in the Backyard

It was time to get the girls a little pool! So, being the kid I am, this is the creation I came up with to make some summertime fun for the girls! Savannah didn't like to go down the slide with it in the pool, BTW!

Summer Time Fun: With the BOYS!

There are the cutest boys that live behind us. Their names are Covyn (6) and Ky (3). Anyway, one day the neighborhood boys were playing outside and the girls ran to the fence, watching every move they made! The boys' dad, Mike, invited the girls over to play. They had fun and this was their first time experience with the Slip'n Slide!

Never hurts to check out the boys!

Bryce's Fishing Haven

Bryce had the opportunity to get out and ditch us girls...hmmm, whats new? He went to Flaming Gorge to catch Mackinaw or aka, Lake Trout with our dentist, Mike Tribe (who is awesome).

That there are some BIG fishies...or S & S call them Pishies! (Redneck/Hooper style)

This was his first catch!
Another one with an upgrade!
Biggest catch for Bryce, 26 lbs. (Lets keep in mind that Saige weighs about the same!)

Anyway, here is some useless info to take up more of your time....hahaha...
The Utah record lake trout came from Flaming Gorge in 1988. It weighed 51 pounds 8 ounces. The world record lake trout weighed 63 pounds 2 ounces and was taken from Lake Superior.

Potty Training Done............for Saige!

Yay! Saige has mastered the potty training business. However, she still refuses to go in the BIG potty, but its good enough for me. At first she didn't want to have anything to do with the POTTY thing, now I can't seem to get her off it! Not one accident in about 5 days and she is doing remarkably well! Love that little girl and she catches on so quickly!

We are in and out on Savannah. I have decided that she is CLEARLY not ready to do the potty yet. She is a stubborn little stink (much like her Momma), but I love her anyway! She opted to go back to diapers, which tells me she and I both aren't ready! I will wait a few weeks and just frequently ask her if she wants to use the potty. I thought for sure that seeing Saige would help her take off, but....she has no interest what so ever! She is my little DAINTY PRINCESS which is the exact reason I thought she would be out of diapers in no time, but NOT SO! She doesn't like to be dirty, so I am having a hard time understanding her! But, no worries...all is well!

Potty Training: Day 3, 4, & 5

OK, so I have been soooo busy trying to keep up with all the potty training stuff, that this has SOMEHOW slipped my mind! Anyway, here is the update on Saige:

Day 3: Semi Interested

She has not wet the bed since the very first morning. Even then, she stopped herself to come find me and went the rest of the way.

I have discovered a way to coerce her into just sitting on the potty. I brought in flash cards and we started to count with our fingers while she sat on the potty. She seemed to like that. She had 2 accidents and both involved #2. However, she did finish her project in the toilet. She is getting a kick out of picking out new panties once she makes a mess of them. I tell her that she is responsible to take care of her dirty ones and she holds them like they are absolutely disgusting.

Day 4: Figured out the game

Still dry throughout the night. She has now figured out the game and so have I. I figured out she was throwing such a fuss about trying because she actually knew when she needed to go. I no longer do the timer and all I do is frequently ask her if she needs to go potty. If she needs to go, she will immediately run to the potty. If she doesn't need to go, she says "NO!" and that is the end of it.

Task accomplished: When she does go, she is SOOOO proud of herself as am I! The look on her face is PRICELESS, and I have yet to snap a picture to capture the moment. But alas, it is picture perfect in my mind! LOVE IT! She knows she gets a treat; one treat for going #1 and two treats for going #2. Immediately she will tell me, "I DID IT, I DID IT!" She starts running towards the treats without pulling up her britches and books it towards the treats. Its hilarious to watch her TRY to run with her pants down at her ankles!

When Saige is finished, Savannah usually picks up on it and she wants to help take care of the cucks! They figured out a little teamwork. Saige picks up the potty bin and gets to carry it into the bathroom to dump it. Savannah gets to flush the toilet (thats only because Saige is to chicken to do it herself--despises loud noises!).

Treats: My sister suggested give her one treat when she goes. So I went a few days ago and purchased Starbursts, Skittles, Peanut M & M's, and Strawberry Whoppers. I put them all into a container and she gets to pick as many as she earned, not only for her, but for Savannah as well. Might I say, Savannah is loving that her sister is earning her a treat too!

OK, my sister was right, its all about patience and it was bad for only a couple of days!

Day 5: Piece of Cake

Absolutely no accidents today....but she hasn't pooped yet and it still isn't the end of the day. We went to church this morning and after I was finished teaching my lesson, I went into Nursery to get her and have her try. I made a special effort to import her "special" potty and she went #1. We washed up and headed back to church business. Came home and while waiting for Papa to arrive, she went a couple of times again. Oh, she decided to totally strip naked while she was playing outside and of course, there happened to be the backdoor neighbor boys playing. When I went out there, I found naked Saige and 4 boys all covering their eyes! It was the funniest thing I have seen in quite a while!

Then we went to the Riverdale Splash Pad and Park with Papa and we took her potty with her. She went once there and then went again when we got home. We still need to go to Bryce's parents house, but having other people around doesn't seem to be bothering her.

Oh ya, when I forget treats, we HIGH FIVE!
