Pretty Ballerinas!

This was so much fun to watch, I also had fun teaching them how to be little ballerinas! Funny thing is, I can't get them to do it without their tutu's!

6 Months: Big GIRL!

Well, Reagan is now 6 months old. Crazy! She is getting so big way too fast! She is so happy and the only time she is mad is when she is hungry! She loves to snuggle and I love it. Neither Saige or Savannah snuggled, so it is nice to have a cuddly baby! She loves to pinch or grab what she can. Mainly it is my hair or the skin on my arms. She definitely has a firm grasp. She loves her swing and her bouncy saucer thing. She is very ticklish, just about everywhere. She giggles like crazy! She is definitely a joy to have around and we are so blessed to have her!

We went to visit the doctor this last week and she is a BIG LADY! She weighs 16 lbs. 11 oz., height is 26 in., and head circumference is 17 inches.

Story Time

Saige and Savannah just love story time. They love to read books, look at books, and unfortunately, rip books! They just love it! But, at least they are interested! Every night before bed, Bryce or I will read them a story. Then, we let them sit in their cribs with a few books and they will read to themselves for a while and then it is lights out! They get so upset when I take away the books and turn the lights out. They scream, "Bookk, Bookke!" I just gotta love em! They are such a blast to have around, a lot of work, but a blast!

Saige and Savannah were lucky to get Grandpa Mike to sit with them and read, instead of me or Bryce! I had to get a picture! PRICELESS!

First Time Sledding

On Monday, we went to Papa's house and let the girls get all dressed up in their new snow gear to go sledding. At first, they were a little apprehensive, but warmed up to it very quickly! They were a little unsure about how to walk on the snow, since it kept giving out on them with every little step they took. It was cute, though...as they walked they would fall over! I think if I were sledding with them too, they may have done a little better. But, I had a sinus infection and chose not to. Papa came through for us though, he had a blast with them even though they didn't show sure signs that this was the thing they wanted to do! Papa hooked a rope to the saucers and drug them around.

Savannah, first time on the saucer. Over every bump, she would say, "woewa, woe!"
Saige and Papa. She got a little scared and kept saying no when we would ask her if she wanted to go again. But we made her go and after a couple of times, she had a big smile on her face. Both S & S had their turns sliding down the "hill" with Papa.
Savannah and her THUMBS UP! (LOL, like she has a choice!)
Saige, unsure what to think!
This was so fun to watch them. They are watching Papa make snowballs and stack them. They couldn't figure out why the crap he would do that! My guess, though is that they were just trying to figure out HOW to do it!

Saige's sure sign she approves of this activity!

More Christmas: Venables 2009

Sorry, here is more Christmas pictures. I didn't take my camera with me and I snatched these from my sister in law's photo album on FB. We always have a good time with the Venables. It is fun to get together and watch the kids play!

The whole clan...no one is missing, which is a miracle!

Presents galore! We are spoiled!

So Big

Well, Reagan is already practicing to sit up and she is doing a great job of it, too! She has been sitting on her own for about 2 weeks now, but hasn't quite been able to figure out how to NOT fall over! She will sit as long as she doesn't lean to far over, then it starts to squish her belly and she gets upset! I learned that if she uses her hands to support her, she does great! She still hasn't rolled yet, but one step at a time! I just love how happy she is and those chubby cheeks! Not a day goes by that they aren't kissed or blubbered!

This was her first time eating cereal! She wasn't really sure what to think about it. We started her on cereal once a day a couple of weeks ago. Mostly, it all came back out, she definitely doesn't like it....still! She prefers the good stuff made by Momma! I love the look on her face!

Cute Stuff!

My little cutie! Reagan is so much fun to have around! I decided I haven't been posting a lot of pictures of her, and I need to do more! She is growing up so fast! The funny thing is, is that she is in the same size diapers as her almost 2 year old sisters! Thats a big bum for a 5 month old or two little bums for two 2 year olds! At any rate, she is growing like a weed!

S & S: 2 Year Check-up

Well, S & S have mad it to their 2 year visit with the pediatrician! We had to do it a little early because our day care needed records of their Hep A shots, which our pediatrician doesn't typically issue them until they turn 2. I had to jump through all sorts of hoops, got referred to this and that, and finally I came to the conclusion that since the pediatrician doesn't want the girls coming in during the month of February (RSV season) then he would allow us to come in the month prior to or after. So, we needed to get it done or I may have not had child care! SO...here are their stats:

Saige
Height: 33 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 25 lbs. (between the 25th and 50th percentile)
She freaked out when we went back to the patient rooms, she wouldn't even let the nurse weigh her. She had to weigh both me and her, then weigh me to get Saiges weight. She obviously knew what nurses do to her! When Dr. Sigg came in and was about to do his exam on her...she started to freak out again! Poor little girl...she was crying so hard she couldn't breath!

Savannah
Length: 31.1 inches (just about the 10th percentile)
Weight: 21 lbs (not on the chart: below the 5th percentile)
Savannah was very calm with the nurses and doctor! She floated around the exam room like it was just another place to play!

Both are healthy and we will be soon getting them "big girl" beds and then potty training! Yippee for us...2 less kids in diapers!

Miss Cheerleader In Progress

Oh Boy OOOO boy! This little girl just loves to be flipped around, tossed, and any other acrobatic thing you can think of! She lives for this kind of stuff and loves every minute of it! This just goes to show she is definitely a cheerleader in the making. Which scares me! I realized after the 2nd year of my college cheering days, of how dumb it was of me to be doing it. Think about it: standing about 6 feet in the air and relying on 1 person to catch you. Basket tosses you go even higher and risk even more! This is definitely a sport that you risk serious injury in any way, shape, or form! I only wish she will choose dance over cheerleading...because you can dance all your life! However, I still couldn't resist taking pictures because her expression says it all!

Needless to say, Saige had to have a go at it too, but she gets scared when thrown in the air or is up high. However, this surprises me because she is constantly climbing all over things and she is our "rougher" kid! Hmph, beats me! As you can see, Savannah is not happy about this one bit that her feet are on the ground!

Venable Christmas Party

Every year after Christmas, the Venable Christmas Party is held in honor of Bryce's Grandma. Their family is so huge, we need a church to hold all of us and it seems like the family doubles in size every couple of years! Anyway, we get together to have dinner, watch a little program put on by all of Bryce's talented cousins and then all the kids did a pinada which happened to be a replica of Rudolph. Well, this was Saige and Savannah's first experience with doing a pinada. Reagan, successfully slept through all of it!
