How Far Will The Wings Spread?

Up so late? Me too! 3:10 AM on Halloween morning! Can't explain it, as I do not understand it myself. Haven't been able to do this since, well, I was dating Bryce. Yeah, I know....our late nights of not being able to leave each others company! Hey, don't read to deep into that!

An overwhelming flood of thoughts, ideas, and excitement keep entering my mind. I think I just began one of my goals in life (lets see where it will take me). I then decided to clean off my paper stash and junk area as I got the idea that is where my new computer should go. I started a second portion of my life goals and planned where to go from here and got my inspiration while using the potty (sorry for the picture, but couldn't resist). I have planned my lesson that I will start with when I go back to work on Monday, followed by the next lesson after that in conjunction with the goals I have started (I will have to see where that takes me as well). I am super-duper excited to see how all this pans out. How far...we will all have to wait and see!

I have now been married for 9 years. Can you believe it? I can and it has been wonderful. Only because I have been married to the most wonderful person I could have ever imagined! I am really lucky and blessed. Funny thing, Saige found one of my old journals from when I was 19. Written on the page before the actual journal entries was a description of what my guy was to be like. This write-up was encouraged by a very wise Young Women's leader of mine a couple years prior. Anyway, it was remarkably descriptive and very specific of what I wanted in a husband. What I found very interesting was that some things I had written were swayed based on the person I was seeing at that time. The bulk of the writing totally didn't fit his physical description or personality but managed to, coincidentally, fit Bryce's. You see, the person I was seeing at that time was short, blonde, stalky, and really, really didn't understand me or try to understand anything at all. It was then I decided I needed help and this person told me either marry him or get out. I realized very quickly I needed out before I did something I would truly regret!

Not long after that, I met Bryce. The circumstance in which we met was odd, because he was actually in a "friends with benefits" relationship with one of my friends. But it was the first official conversation we had with each other that made all the difference at the WSU Library. It was amazing to find a man who was man enough to corner me when I needed it and helped me understand he was different than all the rest of "them" as I had known otherwise.

A big huge thank you to the late Helen Rothey and a place for her will always be in my heart!

Last, but not least....I LOVE YOU BRYCE! Thanks for putting up with me!

Terracotta Warriors!

This part would be my most favorite part of the China journey, had I gone! It was my specific request for Bryce to bring back a warrior for me! Here are some pictures and tidbits of info about the interesting discovery.

The figures vary in height (6ft–6ft 5in), according to their role, the tallest being the generals. The figures include strong warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terracotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. Each warrior has their individual look and not one looks the same, which makes it all that more interesting.

The Great Wall of China

Here are some pics of Bryce visiting the Great Wall of China. He is touring with some friends of mine. Eric is in the same Masters program as Bryce and my friend is his wife. They are all there, but not me! :( In the next couple of days, Bryce will be visiting the Terracotta Warriors which looks absolutely stunning considering this location and contents weren't meant to be found!

First Picture Buzz from CHINA!

Yep, you heard me, CHINA! Bryce is in China for 10 days doing a study abroad internship for school. He is almost FINISHED! YAy! Anyway, I told him before he went that he has to make sure he asks other people to take pictures of him and not just of scenery. Well, it looks like he is doing just as I have asked...wahoo! I got an email from him today saying he is there and it took about 24 hours of travel time to get from SLC to Hong Kong and driving to his hotel. Uggh! He had many pit stops in between going from SLC to LA, then to San Fran, and finally off to China. Well, enough blabbering, here are the pictures he sent to me. I am sure there are more to come, especially when he gets back and I can view all that he has taken.

He looks a little tired in this one, my guess he hasn't had much sleep since getting there!

Thats better! He must have gotten some rest!
Those statue's must be huge, considering he is 6'2"!

Two Months OLD!

I cannot believe Reagan is already 2 months old, well actually she is 9 weeks old. She had her 2 month check-up yesterday and sure enough, she is growing like a weed! She is healthy and a big baby. More of her to love, I guess, which definitely isn't a problem around here! She weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz. and measured 22.5 inches. She is in the 95th percentile for her height and 75th percentile for her length. This is very odd, given that the twins were 1/4 this size when they were her age! Saige was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and Savannah was 9 lbs. 1 oz., in the 5th percentile. Well, they were 5 weeks early, but still, Reagan was a week early! She clearly is just something special!
I finally was able to catch her smiling on camera. She has been smiling for about 2 weeks now, and between all the chasing around kids, feedings, and diaper changes, I got about 2 seconds to grab the camera and snap a few, slobber and everthing!

Blessing Day

My dear sweet little Reagan was blessed by her Daddy on October 3, 2009. It was amazing and he did such a wonderful job! We decided to have her blessing in our home and what a great decision it was. It was great to just have our closest of closest friends and family there, to share this miracle with us. How blessed we are as parents to have this little spirit in our home. She is truly amazing and such a good little baby. She never gives me any trouble at all!

Another Set?

Another set of twins? No, goodness no! This is Reagan and Kennedy. Kennedy belongs to our good friends Kristin and Blake. She is 3 months older than Reagan, but looks about the same age! They definitely look like they could be sisters. This will be good for Reagan since she is the third-wheel when it comes to Saige and Savannah. I can tell this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. They even held hands!

Reagan (left): 5 Weeks old. Last doctors appointment (2 weeks old) she weighed 8.14 and 22 inches.
Kennedy: 4 months old. Last doctors appointment she weighed about 11 pounds and 23 inches long.

Tomato Days Baby Pagent

This was fun. I entered all three girls into the Hooper Tomato Days baby Pagent and the oddest thing happened. Saige, was shy and moody while Savannah was very happy, smiley, and energetic. This was a big surprise because it is usually the opposite. Saige is always laid back and rarely will throw any tantrums or show emotion. However, Savannah is such a DRAMA QUEEN (enough said). But, on this particular day, Savannah was dancing and smiling and just working the crowd and the judges! She had a blast by stomping on the tables (thats her dancing style) and jumping. My arms got a workout! Savannah won the most friendliest! Saige just clung to PAPA and would not crack a smile. I'm guessing it is because the crowd intimidated her a little bit. Reagan, well, she just sat there and opened her mouth a couple of times to win her the best smile.
Saige being shy!

Savannah work'n it!

Little Reagan....Smiling at 3 weeks????? Not so sure! LOL

NEW FUNHOUSE

The girls got a new toy...they have been getting so bored, so Papa came to the rescue! This is actually supposed to be for REAGAN for her BIRTH day present. However, since we had twin girls the first round, we already have everything we needed. I suggested to my dad that we get something for Reagan that she can play on when she gets bigger that just happens to benefit Saige and Savannah NOW! And that is just what he did! THANK PAPA!
