36 Weeks

Went to see the doctor again today and everything is great.  I am not dialated at all, she is still a she, and I have 3 weeks left.  I had the doctor check one more time if she was still a girl, just in case I needed to redo the baby room (pictures soon to come).  But, I am safe.  Not much to report this time, blood pressure was good and I am still packing on the pounds.  

35 Weeks!!!

Went to the doctor today and everything is sailing very smoothly.  Blood pressure is 110/70, urine test was great, and they drew blood to test my plaitlets and no news is good news.  Last time I was prego, today would mark the day I delivered.  I am 34 weeks and 6 days along.  UGGGH, I have to go longer?  Actually, I feel like I can totally do it....I was 20 times miserable than I am now, so no complaints here!  Most important thing is she is very healthy and she has a little hair!

Looks like I will have the C-section on the 10th of August at 5 PM, unless she decides to come earlier than that.  We were going to do the 13th, however Dr. Hartman is going out of town the 11th and will not be getting back until the 18th (my due date).  My options were the 10th at 5 PM, 11th at 7:30 AM, or sometime when he is gone and another doctor perform the C-section.  I opt for my own doctor!!!!!  Plus this way, we get to meet her 3 days earlier than originally thought.  Bryce is in a hard spot and will have to rush from work to make the C-section that evening.  Then he will have to go to work while I am staying in the hospital because with his 10 day internship, hunting trips, and other things he has going on, we wont be able to take off those days.  But, I need the most help when I get home and is more important to have him then rather than at the hospital.  I will have all scads of help there and it will give me and the baby a nice time to ourselves!  As of today, 28 days left or exactly 4 more weeks!

Joe's Valley 4th of July

This 4th of July we decided to go to Joe's Valley.  We were supposed to go to Glacier National Park and then to Banff, Canada, however my doctor wasn't very supportive of the long drive, as well as the distance from a hospital.  This was nice and relaxing.  Bryce's parents (Mike and Debbie), Scott, my dad, Zach, and Jenny came up with us.  I didn't get very many pictures of the others, as I get a little carried away with my girls. 

This is us.  The girls had a blast riding the 4-wheelers.  They would get mad if you drove away without them on it!

This is a picture looking up from the same point as the picture taken above.  You can see how high these mountains are and thats not all.  It keeps going up, but you just can't see it.  On top, Skyline Drive, reaches points of 11000 ft.  It is sooooooo pretty.

We took a drive up the mountain and found Skyline Drive.  We came across a snow drift which ended our route!  So of course, the girls needed to take a break, so why not play on the snow in July?

32 Week Check-up

I had a check-up today and things are looking good. The last couple of appointments, I have had elevated levels of protein in my urine, which means we just have to watch out for Preclampsia again. Doctor Hartman seems to not be very worried as the last 2 tests have been stable. I will see him again in 3 weeks and at that point, I will have 4 weeks left with a discount (as Doctor Hartman put it). I get to choose to have her a week early and we will schedule the C-section next time. Whew! Coming so soon!
So far, I am feeling great. Not much sleep at night, but its worth it. I took my girls on a walk this evening and my body is really feeling it now with the back aches and pressure. However, at this point last time, I could barely crawl from one place to another (walking was out of the question). Especially to the bathroom from my bed in the middle of the night. It is hard to think that at this point last pregnancy, I was only 3 weeks away from having twins. Yikes, now I am about 7 weeks from what it seems like adding a triplet to our equation! Fun stuff!

A Great Dad!

How do you explain a great dad? Especially the father of your children. He is amazing and he doesn't hear it near enough. He literally works his guts out for us and I cannot explain the love he has for Saige and Savannah. The girls just love him endlessly and he loves it when he gets to come home from work, school, or whatever, to see his kids. When he walks through that door, the girls just get so excited with big smiles and grins. They run to him like they haven't seen him in years! It is truly a blessed moment in time. Oh how they love their daddy!
At first when we found out we were having twin girls, he was worried that he would always be out numbered. Well, he is, but I think he really likes it so to speak. As much as he wanted a boy, he wouldn't trade any of them for anything. Just seeing him interact with the girls is priceless. And they love to get tackled, tickled, kissed, mauled, and get his hugs. They are crazy over their daddy as is he over them!
Bryce has worked so hard to get what we have and he continues to do so. He is constantly thinking of ways to make things better for us, but what more can we ask for or even get? He is always working on projects around the house if he isn't doing school work or earning a living. He is always off to the next task and he is all about go, go, go. I don't know how he does it. Oh the little things he does means a whole lot. We are truly lucky to have him and I am so blessed to have married such a wonderful, caring, funny man. It is a privilege to be his wife and the mother of his children!

Fly'n High and Roll'n Smooth

We had the pleasure of Uncle Scott the other day at our house for a an hour or two. It is fun to watch him with the girls. He kisses them, plays with them, and chases them. They just love it! Aren't they just so lucky? Of course, he couldn't resist throwing them in the air and Savannah just loves it. Saige on the other hand, a little apprehensive but loves it just the same!


The neighbors down the street let us borrow this little Barbie Trik. As customs would have it, Saige gets to ride while little sister pushes! Saige wont push Savannah! Saige is definitely the dominate one, of course the one who was born first!

Name Poll

Well, Bryce and I seem to have come to a halt on what this little girl will be named. I have my favorite, he has his favorites, and we have two that we like, but he not set on one and me not set on the other. We need your help, please! Find the poll just above this post and please feel free to give your input.
If my prediction is correct, Bryce's names wont be so popular!!!! LOL But, those names shall not be identified to avoid skewed results!

The Differences: Twins vs. One

It has been quite interesting being pregnant with just one. No complaints here, by all means. All I can say is I am glad twins were first, because I didn't know any different or I would have cried like a high pitched little girl, screaming in agony as if the world was coming to an end!

Twin Pregnancy Pros:
Since I had 2 placentas, there was nothing centered on my bladder.
Saige was on my left side, head down while Savannah was on the right with her head under my ribs. Saige was positioned just right where I didn't get jabbed in the ribs.
Since space was very limited, they weren't able to move, kick, or squirm a whole lot.

Twin Pregnancy Cons:
Uggh, the pressure in the mid region!
Gained 60 pounds.
Started showing at 10 weeks.
Maternity clothes in full use at 14 weeks.
Savannah's head lodged in my ribs for 3 months.
Sleepless nights began at 5 months.

Pregnancy with a Singleton:
This time, she has lots and lots of room to play, workout, and flip-flop! I wouldn't be surprised if she is buffer than me when she gets out for all the punching bag motions and kick boxing movements that she has been practicing. Oh, she sure does love to use my bladder as a trampoline! However, this is so much easier. I haven't really been able to sleep for about two weeks now (that would have put me at 7 months). Last, my feet, ankles, and legs aren't swelling yet! Only 8 more weeks, man, this pregnancy has gone by fast! I think a lot has to do with not telling anyone until I was 14 weeks along.

15 Months Old and Other Updates

Saige and Savannah are now 15 months old. How time flies! We went to visit my best friend's baby last night who is 2 weeks old. She is very tiny and it caused me to realize how big my girls really are!
Saige is now running, literally running everywhere. She is a rebel when she hears the word "NO!" She will smile and give that look like, "Ha, I am gonna do it again!" She is a little stink. She loves to be chased around, knows what the word "outside" means, says "Poppy" for puppy, and loves to get into things. She has also become very fond of Sami and tries to cuddle and then pick her up.
Savannah is the innocent little angel who never does anything wrong. She says "mommy" and "papa" and "daddy," but I am not so sure she knows the relationships to the words yet! She blows kisses and will lean forward to give me kisses. She finally decided about a month ago that it was time for her to walk. She still walks very apprehensively, but no more knee walking or relying on the couches to get around.
Oh how I love these girls! They are so much fun!
Bryce is currently in the middle of his summer semester of school. He only has fall left to complete and he is done! He has class on Monday's and Friday nights, so the girls don't get to see him at all on either of those days. He is a very busy boy. We just purchased a 5th wheel and he is in the process of getting it fixed, because we bought it wrecked. It is a 2002 Gulf Stream Sky Hawk. The inside looks barely used and...its big, with 2 slides and lots of room for the girls to roam! For Memorial weekend, we took the girls up camping to Strawberry with the camper, and uggh, it was cramped! Bryce also is getting ready to build a shed out back and start framing the basement! It will be so nice to have extra rooms and more space! Not that I am complaining any.
As for me, school is just about out for Davis County. Tomorrow is the very last day and then I am off until November. Then, my plans are to clean, clean, clean. Also, it is getting to be the time I start on Reygans room. Right now, it is our spare bedroom, so everything will need to be cleared out and put downstairs. My apologies for anyone who wants to spend the night, you will have to hit the couch! Over the 4th of July, we have a trip planned to go to Banff, Canada and Glacier National Park. It will be a blast and 9 days of pure alpine beauty. Then after that, I will just be waiting patiently for little Reygan to join our family!
